TIP - A Great Mother Show
I have been researching all of the different parenting and "mommy" shows on TV. One of the better ones is "Surviving Motherhood" on TLC (The Learning Channel).
It is a 30 minute show where mothers sharing their concerns and get both expert advice and advice from other mothers. Very real, wide range of topics - body image after pregnancy, toddlers not eating, sex after having the baby, being a young mother, being an older mother, etc. Each show focuses on one mother's concern so the episodes go through many different topics.
It is definitely one of the better shows because it is not too glossy and superficial, it is more authentic and gives sound advice.
TIVO or DVR it, it is worth the time to watch it!
Another good show, although, not specifically for mothers is "Maxed Out" on the Style Channel. It is a 30 minute show about a family's financial woes and expert advice on how to get of them. It is good to watch others make money mistakes and see ourselves in them.
Yes, there is something useful on TV!

I love SUPERNANNY! Jo is the bomb!
Your blog title sounds like it is for twins. Have you thought about changing the name?

Whatever happened to Nanny 911?
I love SuperNanny too! I just saw it the other night...the families on the show always make me feel good about my family!
I have never heard of Surviving Motherhood show but my kids watch TLC already for HI-5 show...I will check it out. I thought all they showed on there after the kids programs was baby delivery shows!
Jo from Super Nanny irritates me. I want to smack that judgemental look right off her face!
Saw Supernanny the other night! Jo not only saved the family, she saved a marriage! I wonder if they will ever show an episode where Jo's tactics did nto work for the family?
