RESOURCE - Young Writers and Illustrators Contest

If your child is in kindergarten, first, second or third grade, he/she can enter the Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest! The deadline to enter is March 28, 2007. The first place winner in each grade level gets a laptop computer!

By the way, if you are not familiar with the Reading Rainbow show on PBS, it is a great show for kids! The show goes through one book in detail, then they have children recommend books that they have read! Each show has a theme and Levar Burton hosts. My child makes a list of all the books they recommend on the show to find them at the library!
