TIP - What's There to Eat?
After six years of parenting, here are the staples of food items that I discovered are great to have on hand for those times when you need to "whip up” something to eat for the kids (and that are still relatively healthy):
•Annie's Homegrown Microwavable Mac & Cheese. Made with organic pasta, both my 6 year old and my 2 year old love it! And it only takes 3 minutes to make.
•All kinds of apples and cheese. Serve them together sliced and the kids are getting protein, calcium and fruit!
•Hebrew National Franks Beef Reduced Fat Hotdogs. Healthier than most hotdogs, the kids love the taste of them.
•Baby carrots. Serve them with salad dressing for dipping. Kids love anything that they can dip.
•Pamela's Products Ultimate Baking & Pancake Mix. It is all natural, gluten and wheat-free. They make excellent pancakes, muffins and even cookies!
•Whole wheat bread. For grilled cheese, hotdogs, French toast, even pizza toast!
•Omega 3 rich eggs. Try serving them hard boil. After boiling them, cut them in half, take out the yolk and fill empty hole left by the yolk with ketchup. They are pretty and good to eat!
Good stuff!

Annie's Mac and Cheese is the BEST!
Good choices! I also like to have yogurt around. Yogurt drinks, tubes, etc. I feel ok if my kids just have that for breakfast or even lunch!
I am always at a loss of what to feed my kids so I end up taking them to McD's all the time! I will try some of these.
Funny how eggs were so out of style not too long ago - they were bad for you the experts said. Now they are good for you again. go figure
My kids love english muffin pizza. Just put on some tomate paste, shredded cheese and stick them in the toaster oven for few minutes.
I wish I started eating whole wheat bread at an earlier age, it would have been easier and healthier than doing it now.
