This article caught my eye – “Saving face – Can creams really smooth wrinkles?” For me, there are SO many creams and lotions out there – and they all sound so good – I never knew which ones really worked. Well, in the winter 2007 issue, the magazine did a test with over 200 women aged between 30-70 years in a European lab for 12 weeks to see which wrinkle cream was the best. They do admit that even the best performing cream "didn't blow" them away. However, the cream that showed the most significant measured improvement in fine lines was OLAY REGENERIST trio! The Olay UV Defense Regenerating Lotion, the Olay Deep Hydration Regenerating Cream and the Olay Daily Regenerating Serum ($19 for each, $57 for all three) were the best. They beat out the next rounder-ups - Lancôme Paris Regenergie ($88 each for day and night cream or $176 for both), RoC Retin-Ox+ ($70 for day, $65 for night and $135 for both).
Neutrogena Visibly Firm Night Cream with Active Copper ($38 for day and night set), Avon Anew Alternative Intensive Age Treatment ($64 for day and night set), L'Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Wrinkle De-Crease Advanced Wrinkle Corrector ($40 for day and night set) and StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate for Existing Stretch Marks($135 for one cream) rated average.
The least effective were La Prairie Cellular ($335 for day and night set) and RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle ($40 for day and night set).
