IN THE NEWS - Questions to Ask Before Getting Married

It may be too late for some of you, but this article talks about questions that you should ask each other as a couple before getting married. Some of the questions are:

1. Are we going to have children? How many?
2. What are your finances like? What are your financial goals?
3. Are there things you are not willing to give up?
4. What does my family do that annoys you?
5. Would you move for a better job?
6. Do you like my friends?

and many other good ones. Here is the article that lists them all in the NY Times:

Ask now...or forever hold your peace.

It is funny that some people don't ask these questions before they get married. It is almost like they are afraid to ask, like they don't want to know the answers because they will then know something that may ruin the relationship. It is like if they ignore it it will go away!

What about all those arranged marriages? Most of those marriages work out fine and they never have this questions asked and answered! Got to leave some things to chance.

Finance ? is a good one. I had no idea that my husband credit was so bad until I married him and we could get a mortgage for a house.
