TIP - Want Someone Else to Prep Your Dinner?
For those days when you don't know what to make for supper, bored with the same old dish, tired of take-out and delivery, want to cook but hate the prep work and clean-up, or just want to learn some new recipes, here is a new solution that I discovered: Dinner Prep Stores!
Basically, they have all the ingredients prepared for you at their stores which are laid out like a kitchen with multiple prep stations. First, you pick a dish from a menu, then you put together the ingredients based their recipe(clearly on display and easy to follow) into the provided container. You walk out the door (no clean-up) with your container full of prepped dinner! Now, all you have to do is go home and cook it (or freeze it for later!).
I tried the Supper Shop and I got an excellent Tilapia fish in mustard sour cream sauce (something I would have never cooked on my own!) for $22 for 4-6 servings. I just came home and put it in the oven as the directions stated. In 15 minutes, we had a great dinner! Not a bad deal.
Here are the places that I found that offers prepped dinners. They work similarly, but for more details, here are the links:
http://www.thesuppershop.com This is the one that I tried. They have only two locations - one in Indiana and one in Massachusetts.
http://www.chefdanes.com They just opened one in Needham, Massachusetts. Their other locations are Arizona and California.
http://www.letsdish.com They have locations in 14 states including Massachusetts, New York and Ohio.
